Tuesday
Mondial
I'm really happy I am in Italy for the mondial, it feels like a big festival that everyone has to (and loves to) take part in! Don't get me wrong, I wasn't really watching a game, I just enjoyed the happy flag piadina..
Monday
Giulia's lasagna
My flatmate Giulia made a lasagna for me to try real Italian food. It was fantastic. Thank you dear Giulia.
The heat market
I love the antique market, I love the smell of old wood and old books. It was the hottest day of the year so far, but we walked around for a few hours and just enjoyed the sites.
Sunday
Nordic Festival in Milan
Last night I joined my Norwegian friends to the Ragnarock Nordic Festival in parco Sempione. Six bands I didn't know preformed with a pretty good music, and we spend most of the concert back stage drinking beer and eating chips. Another fun night with Scandinavians.
Thursday
Tuesday
Through the box
After waiting and working for three months we finally got to the day that we can sell our products! We had our own stand, and we were very exited. It was all about dots' so we served some complimentary M&Ms.. We sold almost everything, and here you can even see our professor Norman McNally buying one for his son. This was my last day in Bovisa. I am a happy girl.
I'll try
OK, so I'll try to explain how it works. You get a map of the world and a watch you can attach to it with a magnet. Every color in the map is a different time zone. For example, if I want to know the time in Russia right now, I'll find Russia on the map and see that it is yellow. Now, I will take the watch, and find the yellow dot on it and aline it with the yellow dot on the lowest part of the poster and will get the right time in that place. and so on.. If it's not clear, please let me know and I'll try to make it more clear.
Monday
It's ready!
We finally finished our project! It's a world map and a watch attached to it with magnets that allows you to know the time everywhere in the world with a very simple mechanism. Tomorrow we'll be selling them in a design event held in Our campus. Polimi Bovisa via Durano 10. If you are in Milan you should come and visit us! For the rest of you I'll take pictures tomorrow.
Surprising winter
Europe, it's so confusing. One moment you are celebrating the summer by taking pictures of your feet, and the next week you wake up to winter again. In June. I think this guy in the tram was surprised too.
My sweet collection
I never liked sweets. never. But something changed here in Italy, I'm not sure exactly why, but in the last weeks there is no way I won't have bread with Nutella before I go to sleep. I feel like I'm a 10 years old. So this is my new collection of Nutella cups! Collected in two months..
Sunday
So European
Thursday
Oryan's tzaziki
Last week I was invited to have dinner at Oryan's place. He cooked great food, and the other guests brought some salads, but the best thing was his own version of the tzaziki. Not much to say. I hope he'll invite me again!
Monday
Did I mention I love moustache?
Today was the final presentation of my class in Bezalel, it felt a bit sad not being there with them. Our class is the best, what can I say... For the presentation all the guys (and I think the girls tried too) grew a moustache! and here are the pictures to prove. Pictures by Mel Bergman. Kisses to you all!
Absolutely cool
Two pictures of a wall in Columns of San Lorenzo. The first one was taken in my first week here and the second one is from three days ago. This two wall papers are part of a really cool Absolut campaign and was made by all kinds of artists (Ozmo, Ron English, Skunkanansie, Gio Pagani and more) I love how it colors the street.
Sunday
Another story
That starts with an ice cream. Today i went to have one with Dafna. On our way back we saw this man sitting so concentrated and making flowers out of vegetable. I got a carrot one.
Saturday
Printed shirts and the Duomo
I was home and bored when Mor came to take me out for an ice cream, I chose the yogurt and melon and she took vanilla and raspberry and we walked to the Duomo. Mor played with the camera, and this is the fun result.
Wednesday
The letter
On Friday I got my first real letter in Milan! My friend Roy sent it, and I knew it was on it's way but I was still surprised of how fun it is to get one! So today I went to the park with my coke and wrote him back.
Sunday
A night out in Naviglio
There is so much to do in Milan, every night there is a big discussion as to where we should go drink or party. Every night a different place, and it never ends. But the funny thing is that no matter where we end up going, it will always be the same, a drink, another and before we go back home we'll look for a good old pizza.
